However I feel that it was part of getting to know Onyx through everyone else before getting her POV (which we don’t get until like chapter 24 I think) It just seemed like too many cooks in the kitchen. The plot twist at the end had me talking to myself aloud in shock! I picked up the second book immediately because I needed to know what happened!! (This was book one of the duet)Īt first I didn’t think I would like the book because there was too many POVs aside from the two main characters. □️ #books #bookstagram #bookshelf #book #bookreview #bookstagrammer #booksta #booklover #review #aliceinwonderland #queenofmadness #wickedwonderland #wickedwonderlandduet #leejacquot #leejacquotbooksĮverything I love mafia, bodyguard, possessive morally grey characters oof □□□ This was my first book by Lee Jacquot and I am not disappointed. I just can't wait to read the second book. I usually hate when there's a cliffhanger at the end but it did not disturb me. It kept me interested throughout the book. The plot was also really interesting, it wasn't just a love story and I liked it a lot. And I could actually feel the romantic tension growing between them. They were such a powerful and beautiful couple. I loved Maddy and Kilo, they were so interesting. Lee really did a great work with the elements inspired from Alice in Wonderland. The plot, the characters, the emotions, the pace, the spice. 5/10/2023 0 Comments Zayne harbinger seriesNot the least because one of the outsiders is the most annoying and fascinating person she’s ever met. In regard to "The Color Purple," the answer usually was, "Well, I've seen the movie." Despite Walker winning a Pulitzer Prize for the 1982 novel, it's often overshadowed by the film directed by Steven Spielberg and the musical. When I would bring up Alice Walker in discussions about literature in college, other students would counter with, "Well, I've read Toni Morrison." Or they would mention reading Walker's short story, "Everyday Use," in an introduction to American Literature Class. 5/9/2023 0 Comments Globalhead by Bruce SterlingAnd the artefact is not what they expected.
